CHAPTER 3: INITIAL TEST BOX

In order to see if the whole idea still had at least some substance I had to test my lens and ground glass. I made this simple box out of cardboard and tape, one back part with the ground glass set up and one front part with the lens that could slide into the back to allow focusing. For this test I used the 100mm lens so the averagre distance to the ground glass needed to be about? 100mm, TADAA! Now what I have here is pretty much already a camera, with a blown open non adjustable aperture and no film, or shutter that is. As I got this thing together and saw the result I literally started jumping up and down like a little kid and I was all facinated by how it actually works. I smelled victory!
