15. Ground glass
Here we have the ground glass unit that will go into the back of the camera when composing the image to be recorded and to set the focus. As I´ve written before this unit is slid into the same slot as the film holder. One very important thing is that the inside surface of the glass is exactly where the film will be, othervise the focus will be different on the film ocmpared to the glass. I guess when larger apertures are used the precision is less important. I may be as much as one millimeter off, but again that´s because it´s very hard getting everything precise enough when cutting everything out of cardboard by hand.
